Lazydocker – The lazier way to Manage everything Docker

Lazydocker is a tool that you can use to have a terminal interactive interface for Docker and Docker Compose, which allows you to quickly switch between services running in different containers and related resources (images, volumes), view their status and execute various commands.

For selected images, you can see Dockerfile commands that are executed. Cleaning unused containers, images, volumes (prune) restart or remove and rebuild containers / services. This will be useful when you have a large number of containers and you should track or make changes on several containers in a single terminal.

Some of the features with this tool are:

  • viewing the state of your docker or docker-compose container environment at a glance
  • viewing logs for a container/service
  • viewing ascii graphs of your containers’ metrics so that you can not only feel but also look like a developer
  • customizing those graphs to measure nearly any metric you want
  • attaching to a container/service
  • restarting / removing / rebuilding containers / services
  • viewing the ancestor layers of a given image
  • pruning containers, images, or volumes that are hogging up disk space
