heads is a libre (free as in freedom) GNU/Linux distribution. It aims to be a distro that respects your privacy, freedom, and helps you to stay secure and anonymous. The Linux security distribution is for anyone who wants to control their anonymity on the Internet using the Tor network. heads is based on Devuan, and one of the important features of this operating system is that it using only free software.

Using free software it is far easier to avoid hidden backdoors and malware that might be in non-free software. Another benefit is to allow user to access any source code of the software included in the distribution at any time.

In heads, all your Internet traffic is sent via Tor by default, user is also allowed to disable this option in case for some reason Tor is blocked so it will be possible to make the traffic goes over usual network.

The distribution is using grsecurity a hardened Linux kernel which protects against a wide range of security threats through intelligent access control, memory-corruption based exploit prevention, and a host of other system hardening.
